This Sherpa coat is the only one you need for fall — and it's on sale

Tis the season of apple picking, pumpkin spiced lattes, and — finally — fall clothing. If you’ve been searching for the perfect coat for fall weather, look no further than Old Navy. In October, Glow actress Alison Brie stepped out wearing the brand’s Sherpa Faux-Suede Coat. It originally retails for $85, but it’s currently on sale for just $51 in Old Navy’s special pre-Black Friday sale (available now through Tuesday, Nov. 20). The oatmeal color is selling out fast, but you can still snag the navy version in more sizes. Brie styled her coat with skinny blue jeans, a white sweater, and a chic pair of brown ankle boots while grocery shopping in L.A.

Fuzzy Sherpa jackets are having a big moment in fashion right now and are easily the season’s must-have coat. Not only do they provide a warm teddy-bear feeling when worn, but they’re made of a synthetic blend to imitate real fur. With recent fur bans by major luxury designers, including Gucci, Michael Kors, Burberry, and Versace, more shoppers are looking for alternatives, and this is the perfect conscious and affordable option to expensive shearling coats.

These fuzzy Sherpa jackets can be bought from fashion-forward retailers like Madewell and H&M, but if you recall, they were originally found in athletic retailers. Activewear brands like Eddie Bauer and Patagonia have long made Sherpa coats for the outdoors, but luckily for those who invested in them long ago, it’s about time to dust them off because they’re making a big fashion comeback.
