Olivia Munn is making memories with her 15-month-old son Malcolm.

The Newsroom star, who welcomed her first child with partner John Mulaney in November 2021, took to Instagram on Saturday to share a video of Malcolm and Mulaney in an Asian market. In the caption, the actress shared that it was the toddler’s “first trip to the Asian market.”

Commenters loved that Munn, who grew up partially in Japan and is of Chinese and Vietnamese heritage on her mother’s side, was taking her son to explore the store. Some shared their own memories of outings with their families.

“Don’t forget that candy aisle,” one follower wrote. “That’s where the true memories are made!”

Another added, “Core memories of super cáo in OKC,” while a third noted, “My kids loved the fresh seafood and animals. Haha. They called it the fish store for the longest time.”

While Malcolm seemed to have a great time on the outing, it wasn’t without mishaps — such as the little one knocking a box off a shelf. A commenter joked, “It's the way he looks at the box falls like ‘I picked you and you have the nerve to fall on the floor.’ Cheers to many more visits Malcolm.”

Munn often uses her social media platform to share highlights of her parenting journey. Back in December, she shared a video of Malcolm attempting to eat a seashell at the beach, joking in the caption, ‘We've entered the 'puts everything in their mouth' era.”

Earlier this week, she posted a video of Malcolm attempting to open a door, which she captioned, “Oh no… I’m not prepared! Aggghh!!”

While she has also shared many sweet moments with her son, such as giving him "Asian sniff kisses," the New Girl alum has also been candid about some of the more difficult parts of having a young child. She publicly shared how she was struggling with breastfeeding early on in Malcolm's life. In a January 2022 social media post, she explained why it has been difficult to feed her son.

"Breastfeeding is soooo hard, especially if you have low supply," she wrote on her Instagram Story. "8 weeks in and I've taken a million vitamins, countless teas, lozenges, tinctures and worked with two lactation consultants. Breastfeeding. Is. Hard."
