Omarosa Manigault Newman leaks audio of Trump allegedly reacting to her firing: 'I don't love you leaving at all'

Omarosa Manigault Newman‘s press tour shows no sign of cooling. Following her appearance on Meet the Press on Sunday, during which the ousted White House aide played an audio recording of a conversation with chief of staff John Kelly, Manigault Newman hit up Today on Monday morning to share what she claims is President Trump‘s reaction to Kelly’s firing her last December.

Manigault Newman — who is promoting her tell-all book, Unhinged, about her time in the White House — claims to have secretly taped conversations with various officials. Having already leaked a snippet of her dismissal by Kelly, she’s now revealing a clip in which her former Apprentice co-star Trump bemoans her departure.

The audio recording — which does not provide the full conversation with Trump — allegedly dates back to the day after Kelly fired Manigault Newman. The president expresses disbelief at her dismissal, which he claims he “didn’t know” about until he saw it on the news.

He also sounds upset, saying “Goddamn it. … I don’t love you leaving at all.” In an interview with Today‘s Savannah Guthrie, Manigault Newman said Trump was “absolutely” a liar, but she became defensive when Guthrie pressed her about why she chose to work for him.

“He is known to be an entertainer, to exaggerate, but I never expected him to lie to the country,” she responded.

She also repeated her claim that there is footage of Trump using a racial slur during filming of The Apprentice.

Meanwhile, Maggie Haberman of the New York Times quotes Trump as calling Manigault Newman a “lowlife.”

He has since tweeted a new attack on Manigault Newman.
