As a fiercely competitive contestant on Celebrity Apprentice in 2004, Omarosa Manigault developed a reputation as the most hated reality TV star ever. But now that she’s been appointed to the Trump administration as White House director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison, venom is spewing in Manigault’s direction.

On Saturday, the bride-to-be took her five bridesmaids on a shopping excursion at the high-end Tysons Corner Center in Virginia, according to the Washington Post. During the prebirthday celebration (Manigault was born on Feb. 5), her bridesmaids modeled dresses for a video that Manigault posted to Twitter at 12:50 p.m. But it all went downhill from there.

At about 6 p.m., a witness told the publication, a few shoppers spotted the longtime Trump supporter and decided to harass Manigault in the makeup section of Nordstrom. “They were letting her have it,” the witness said. He added that the women even resorted to name-calling, shouting “Trump’s whore” at the 43-year-old, who also served during President Trump’s political campaign last summer as the head of African American outreach.

Manigault, who got engaged to Florida pastor John Allen Newman on July 28, was shaken by the event. Someone reportedly overheard her say, “These fat ladies won’t stop following me.” To make matters worse, Manigault was wearing an orthopedic boot and walking with a cane due to a foot injury she’d sustained during Trump’s inauguration.

By the time Nordstrom’s “loss prevention” security team showed up to neutralize the drama, a crowd of about a dozen gawkers were surrounding the star, says the publication. “The White House confirmed on Monday that Manigault was confronted by two women, and security was eventually called to escort her to her car,” according to the Washington Post. The women who confronted Manigault were asked by security to leave the store, and they did.

Nordstrom followed up with a statement confirming that the scene took place, says the Washington Post. It’s not the first time the names “Trump” and “Nordstrom” have been in the news this week, though. On Feb. 3, Nordstrom confirmed it would stop carrying the Ivanka Trump label due to sales performance.

Manigault is set to appear on TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress, which chronicles the wedding-gown selection process of brides-to-be at the legendary Kleinfeld Bridal. Details about her wedding have remained under wraps.
