Meghan Markle has long been "a firm believer in handwritten notes." In her pre-Duchess days (before she made her big break on Suits), she even earned a little extra money by doing calligraphy.

"I went to an all-girls Catholic school for like six years during the time when kids actually had handwriting class. I've always had a propensity for getting the cursive down pretty well. What it evolved into was my pseudo-waitressing job when I was auditioning. I didn't wait tables. I did calligraphy," she told Esquire in 2013.

This week, one of Meghan's favorite accessory brands is taking cue from its royal fan, and getting into the stationery business. Sarah Flint, a designer known for her Windsor-approved, Italian-made leather shoes, spent the early days of the coronavirus pandemic painting and writing letters to loved ones. Now, she's combining those two passions with a limited-edition line of paper goods.

Flint designed two delicate blue floral patterns—bleeding hearts and daffodils—for a collaboration with Crane & Co., and each set of cards comes with matching lined envelopes, also adorned with the blooms.

“While quarantining in my hometown of Buzzards Bay, MA, I was inspired to paint again and loved the idea of creating hand-painted stationery designs to send to family and friends to help brighten their days. I thought our customers may feel motivated to do the same, so I connected with the team at Crane who transformed my watercolor designs, inspired by the beautiful blue flowers in my parents’ garden, into one-of-a-kind stationery prints,” Flint tells Town & Country. “The end result is elegant yet practical—just like our shoes! There is nothing more special than a handwritten note, especially one written on beautiful stationery.”
