Oprah Winfrey wears sexy lace mask on new 'British Vogue' cover, gets compared to '50 Shades of Grey'

Oprah Winfrey fans are still picking up their jaws off the floor after clapping eyes on the TV host’s glamorous cover shoot for the August issue of British Vogue. The newsstand copy of the fashion magazine shows the 64-year-old Winfrey looking like the ultimate queen in a voluminous gown custom-designed by Stella McCartney, who also happened to whip up the pink dress she wore to the royal wedding in May.

But Winfrey goes from regal to racy (and, OK, still a little bit regal) in another cover photo for British Vogue. As the magazine and editor Edward Enninful have revealed on social media, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott also photographed the billionaire media icon in a look seemingly inspired by Fifty Shades of Grey or Eyes Wide Shut.

Winfrey wears a black lace mask designed by Philip Treacy — the star milliner popular with Meghan Markle and other royals — on the significantly sexier subscriber cover.

The seductive makeover has fired up fans, with many comparing the look to Eartha Kitt’s portrayal of Catwoman during the 1960s Batman TV series, though one commenter called it “so demonic.”

“Looks like she’ll be playing in the next Fifty Shades of Grey movie,” another commenter wrote.

And why not? She is an Oscar-nominated actress, after all.
