Orlando Bloom has angered animal lovers after photos surfaced of him carrying his dog in a bag.
The 42-year-old actor was recently snapped by paparazzi riding around Los Angeles on his motorcycle, with a bizarre accessory: His toy poodle Mighty inside of a drawstring bag.
I officially hate Orlando Bloom, who in the world carries their their pet like this, and then rides off in a motorcycle with their dog stuffed in a bag!?!? pic.twitter.com/hUFRqxgJ3l

According to the Daily Mail, the “Lord of the Rings” star arrived via motorbike to lunch at restaurant in Brentwood, Calif. sporting a black bag on his back. The star then disembarked from his bike and entered the restaurant holding onto the bag, with Mighty’s head fully visible. Video evidence obtained by the outlet showed Bloom leaving the building later that afternoon with his bag clearly moving.
It’s not the first time Bloom has opted to travel with his four-legged companion. In May 2018, Bloom shared a photograph of himself on his bike with Mighty in what looks to be a larger black dog carrier.
In 2017, Bloom shared another snap of himself riding a bicycle with Mighty in a bag around his neck.
While the California DMV handbook for motorcycles doesn’t explicitly provide rules for travelling with animals, the state’s vehicle code section 23117 states that no person driving a motor vehicle can transport any animal in a space intended for load “unless the vehicle has installed means of preventing the animal from being discharged, or the animal is cross tethered to the vehicle, or is protected by a secured container or cage, in a manner which will prevent the animal from being thrown, falling, or jumping from the vehicle.”
Bloom’s questionable choice has angered fans, who have been tagging the star’s fiancé Katy Perry asking her to “please get her man.”
Others supplied photos of pet carriers that are specifically designed to be mounted on motorcycles.

Bloom, a self-described “dog lover” who frequently shares images of his pooch on social media with his 2.4 million followers, has yet to address the controversy.
