Sam Heughan is keeping busy this summer. He's currently in the middle of filming season 7 of Outlander while simultaneously celebrating the accomplishments of his company, Sassenach Spirits. What's more, it looks like the Scottish actor is about to become an author for the third time.

On August 7, Sam revealed the cover to his new memoir, Waypoints. Set to be released on October 25, it will follow the Men in Kilts host as he goes on a 100-mile journey from his home to Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in all of the U.K. As he explores his homeland, the autobiography will also show Sam's personal road to self-discovery.

"HERE it is!" he wrote on Twitter featuring a photo of the book. "So proud. 'Waypoints' cover reveal. Hope you like it. What a great experience, loved every step of the journey. x."

From the sound of the book's premise, we're already interested in learning more about what the Outlander cast member was up to while embarking on this major adventure. But if you're thinking this project sounds familiar, you're not wrong.

He's not only the co-author of two other books with co-star Graham McTavish (Clanlands: Whisky, Warfare, and a Scottish Adventure Like No Other and The Clanlands Almanac: Seasonal Stories from Scotland), but he also previously announced his upcoming memoir back in March via an Instagram announcement.

Fans were just as excited as Sam about the big reveal, because many immediately shared their excitement on the actor's various social media pages.

"Thanks for sharing another piece of Waypoints with us until the release. Super excited to read it! Congratulations on all your success thus far 👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻✨✨🎉🎉🎉📚," one fan wrote on Instagram. “I love ❤️ the cover. Can’t wait to get my two copies,” one more replied. "Congratulations, Sam! Putting your life and personal feelings out there for people to read is scary and very courageous. 🙏 Can’t wait to read it. #Waypoints," another follower commented on Twitter.

Luckily, it won't be long before we get our hands on the memoir. If we play our cards right, maybe it will come with potential Outlander news ... We can only dream!
