The success of Tyler Perry's The Oval can't be denied.

Since first premiering in October of 2019, the BET series — starring Ed Quinn, Kron Moore, Paige Hurd, and Daniel Croix Henderson has continued to soar with its shocking twists and heart-stopping turns courtesy of the show's morally bankrupt and ever-manipulative First Family of the United States.

But while season 2 has barely just begun, viewers are already getting excited about the drama's third season, which was green-lit not long after the second season's premiere. So far, here's all that we know about round three of The Oval.

Will there be a third season of The Oval?

A week after the season 2 premiere, BET renewed The Oval for season 3, according to Deadline. After drawing in a whopping 1.4 million viewers for the series return, it’s not surprising that the drama series will be back.

When would season 3 of The Oval premiere?

Filming for season 3 of The Oval is set to begin in Atlanta later this year, per Deadline. This means that fans could expect season 3 episodes early next year — but, again, it's a bit too early to say anything definitively.

Season 1 of the hit drama, which ended up being 25 episodes long, premiered in October of 2019 and ran all the way into July of 2020. While season 2 is slightly shorter with 22 episodes in total, it's unclear when the finale will occur.

Who will be in The Oval season 3 cast?

Since season 2 just started, we can't say for sure that every character will make it to season 3. But right now, fans can expect to see the following cast members reprise their roles in some capacity:

  • Ed Quinn as President Hunter Franklin

  • Kron Moore as First Lady Victoria Franklin

  • Paige Hurd as Gayle Franklin

  • Daniel Croix Henderson as Jason Franklin

  • Javon Johnson as Richard Hallsen

  • Ptosha Storey as Nancy Hallsen

  • Vaughn W. Hebron as Barry Hallsen

  • Teesha Renee as Sharon

  • Lodric Collins as Donald Winthrop

  • Ciera Payton as Lilly Winthrop

  • Taja V. Simpson as Priscilla Owen

  • Walter Fauntleroy as Sam Owen

  • Brad Benedict as Kyle Flint
