Ozzy Osbourne says he's struggling with 'f***ing awkward' neck injury recovery
Ozzy Osbourne has revealed he’s still struggling to overcome a neck injury he got when he suffered a serious fall in early 2019.
“I remember it like it was yesterday,” the Black Sabbath frontman told The Sun, as he spoke out about his health for this first time since announcing his Parkinson’s diagnosis. “I was lying there as clearly and as calmly as anything, thinking, ‘Well Ozzy, you’ve f***ing done it now’.

Osbourne had previously explained that he’d gotten up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom when he fell, which then aggravated a former injury he’d sustained when he crashed his quad bike back in 2003.
“I have to take all these painkillers but I’m dying for all the opiate stuff I can’t have,” he admitted. “The nurse keeps my medication so I don’t take anything apart from what they give me. I’m in unbelievable pain 24/7.
“I have to be helped to change, to have a bath,” the 71-year-old continued. “It’s just f***ing awkward, you know?”
Over the past year, the rocker has been forced to cancel several dates on his world tour. More recently, he announced that the US leg - which was due to kick off in May - would not be able to go ahead either.
“If I had a choice between the Parkinson’s and the f***ing neck, I’d go for the Parkinson’s. I’ve been laid up for a year now,” he told the publication. “The recovery has been so goddamn slow.
“I’ve never been this laid up in my life and, believe me, I’ve done some stupid things. I’ve recovered from alcoholism, drug addiction, all of the above. Then I tripped over, and that’s it.”

Osbourne concluded the interview by gushing about his wife Sharon Osbourne, and how their relationship is “better than ever” in the face of all his ongoing health issues.
“I’m so much in love with her and she’s so much in love with me,” he said. “She’s been fantastic and she’s looking really good.”
