Paris Jackson is on her way to becoming a bonafide star. On Monday night, the IMG Model and Calvin Klein spokesmodel proved she can handle any red carpet in her most business look yet.

For Global Citizen Live! at NYU Skirball Center, the 19-year-old opted for a polished skirt suit and silk camisole. She is Michael Jackson’s daughter, after all, so she still managed to add some edge in the form of a lace-up slit that could have come straight out of Hot Topic’s Corporate line. Her cami also lent a glimpse at two of her seven chakra tattoos, which run down the length of her torso.

Jackson posed on the red carpet in the put-together look, styled with a messy bun and trendy straight-across bangs. By later in the evening — by the time she posed with Annie Lennox, to be exact — she had ditched the jacket in favor of her spaghetti strap top. She kicked off her high heels too.

In her short time in the spotlight, Jackson has already proven herself adept at mixing personality with red carpet glamour. For her first Met Gala this year, she attended with fashion icon Raf Simons and wore a youthful yet completely classic Calvin Klein two piece.

Earlier this summer at the MTV Video Music Awards, she showed off her more eclectic style in a see-through sheath by Christian Dior. The colorful, patterned look felt like an intro to Jackson’s sense of style, especially when paired with daring-but-not-quite-scandalous visible undies.

“I really want to leave a positive imprint in the fashion world,” Jackson has said. “I already have many young girls looking up to me, and I want to be something their parents are OK with them looking up to.” With her good heart, her edge, and her unique style, we have a feeling Jackson’s mission is accomplished.
