Paris Jackson has defended sharing a photoshopped image of herself being embraced by both her late father Michael Jackson and mother Debbie Rowe on Twitter.

The black and white picture features the model being hugged by Rowe, while Michael – who died in 2009 – tenderly touches her arm in the edited family portrait.

When one Twitter user suggested the image was 'creepy AF', Paris responded with the heartbreaking sentiment:

'No, I think it's nice to dream about what it would be like to have parents, and to have it put into something I can see, even if it's a fan made edit.'

Jackson and Rowe were embroiled in a custody battle over Paris and her brother, Prince Michael, following their divorce in 1999. Rowe voluntarily gave up her parental rights after the divorce, but she and Paris are still in touch, with Paris supporting her during her recent breast cancer battle.

Following the post, the aspiring actress received a deluge of support and sympathy from fans on social media, with some editing other photos of the star to feature her father in it too.
