Pascal Siakam doesn’t take the bait when asked about officiating

Pascal Siakam, with a smile on his face, politely declined to comment on the officiating after Toronto’s Game 2 loss to Philly. He also gave credit to the Sixers for outplaying the Raptors on both ends of the floor in a brief post-game media session. Follow our Raptors coverage all season long on Yahoo Sports Canada.

- [INAUDIBLE].

PASCAL SIAKAM: Yeah, I think they-- I guess they made runs, obviously. I don't know how many free throws they had-- a lot of them. And yeah, I think we came out being aggressive like we wanted to. And yeah, they made more shots than we did. And it was just a little tough, you know, just some of the runs that they had. And obviously, getting to the free throw line and being comfortable definitely is not going to help us.

- So, you got OT going for it there. Is that something you can build on?

PASCAL SIAKAM: Yeah, I think, obviously, be more aggressive. And I think that, again, obviously, we know that it's coming from an injury, and he's coming back. And, you know, I think he played well in that fourth quarter. He was just getting to his spots and playing the way that he's been playing all year, basically. And I think that, yeah, we're definitely going to need it.

- You mentioned the free throw attempt [INAUDIBLE] in the first quarter. You guys clearly made a concerted effort to bring the physicality at the start there. Is it sort of discouraging or deflating in any way when you are being physical and it's resulting in--

PASCAL SIAKAM: I'm not going to talk about that I'd rather not.

- OK.

- How do you feel that you guys [INAUDIBLE]?

PASCAL SIAKAM: Yeah. No, I think you some of the things that they did well in the first game-- we did better. I think we did better taking those away. Obviously, the score doesn't look like that. And it's tough when you're down that much. But I thought that, you know, we adjusted a little bit. We played a little more physicality. We did some good things. It wasn't enough. It wasn't enough. I think that we got to go back to the drawing boards and continue to adjust. And I think that we have to continue to give ourselves a chance to win. And if we improve from this game, I think that will have a good chance.

- Gary and Thad were clearly struggling tonight for different reasons, but what does it say about them that they were able--

PASCAL SIAKAM: Yeah, those guys-- they want to be out there. Obviously, I don't know how Gary is really feeling, and I know it's tough-- Thad [INAUDIBLE] his finger. So, it's tough. But those guys-- they're fighters. They want to be out there with us. And I think that, you know, we've seen it. And, you know, we cover for each other. We work together as a team, and it's not about the individual. It's about being together. And no matter what's happening out there, we got to stay together. And I think those guys want to be out there. It's tough.

- OK. Go ahead, Josh.

- One question from Mike from [INAUDIBLE] Go ahead.
