Paulina Porizkova, 57, posts bikini pics from her vacation: 'It helps when you hand the phone camera to your girlfriend'
Paulina Porizkova is living it up on vacation.
The model took to social media to chronicle her trip to Costa Rica. Photos from the trip included Porizkova posing in two different bikinis.
In the first photo, the Swedish model lays on a couch, wearing an ab-baring patterned two-piece.
“Just lounging around the house in my new bikini,” she wrote. “(I bought it in a local store called Brazilian Bikinis in Santa Teresa, and have no idea of the make because I tore the labels off right away. But the lady who sold it to me said it was reversible and hand-made.)”
“Photography wise, it helps when you hand the phone camera to your girlfriend, who’s willing to do more than a quick click of the phone for you,” she advised.
The photography tip was in reference to an earlier bikini photo Porizkova shared from the trip. In this photo, Porizkova sports a hot pink bikini as she poses in front of the ocean.
“When you ask your son to do a bikini photo of you — and he’s 6’5 and too lazy to get down to get a better angle…” she captioned the photo.
Although she wasn't thrilled with the angle, friend Lisa Rinna commented on the post with fire emojis. Skincare guru Peter Thomas Roth added, "Still a great photographer!"
In an earlier Instagram post the model called Costa Rica her "happy place" and said that she was taking a week to recharge.
“In midst of what feels like the world falling apart — I’m going to my happy place with people I love and treasure,” Porizkova shared on a post. “One week of vacation with my son, my best friend and goddaughter to celebrate their birthdays in Hermosa Hills.”
The 57 year old kept it real and shared, “I realize by my posting lately, it looks like I’ve been living the charmed life. And I am. Modeling opportunities and travel — I’m infinitely grateful. But there is also real life behind all the smiles. And that one isn’t as photogenic. Real people, real pain. And I’m a little overwhelmed, so I will take this week to recharge in the best company and my happy place. And come back swinging.”
Porizkova has long been candid about her unfiltered approach to aging. In a new interview with the Mail+, the model explained, "Menopausal women who are sexy are seen as advertising false wares. We cannot be sensual because we are no longer fertile. And we are more empowered, more intimidating and more sexy, because we know what we want — and that intimidates the s*** out of men."
She added, "If I choose to show my body and if I control the way my body is seen, does that mean that I then have the power? Yes. This is my body. And I will do with it as I please."
