Pillsbury Will Be Selling Gingerbread Cookie Dough This Holiday Season And We’re Already Counting Down The Days
Each season can be characterized by the food flavors that take over grocery store shelves. Blueberry and lemon are big in the summer time, pumpkin and apple overwhelm in the fall, and when the winter solstice hits, hot cocoa and gingerbread are everywhere. Well, because this year is chaos, we've already gotten word of what Halloween candy we can look forward to and what coffee creamers are dropping in December...and now we know that Pillsbury will be making gingerbread dough this holiday season too.
Sure, baking cookies for the holidays is a tradition for many, but sometimes you don't have the time of ingredients to do it at home. No judgement! That's why pre-made dough comes in handy, and Pillsbury is making holiday prep even easier this year by offering rolls of gingerbread.
You'll have to roll out the dough to make it flat enough for cookie cutters, but from there it can be a free for all. The best part about Pillsbury cookie dough is that now all of their new flavors are totally safe to eat before baking, so you can keep doing what you've been doing for years without the risk of getting sick from raw ingredients.
From the looks of it, this gingerbread dough isn't available just yet, but with the way things are going, it could hit shelves any minute. By November I'd assume these will be at the grocery store in troves and in that case, make sure you pick up at least two packages—one to bake and one to snack on.
