Pippa Middleton Will Gain A New Title Once She Marries

During the weekend Pippa Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister, was engaged to hedge fund manager James Matthews.
And it turns out that Pippa will follow in her sister’s footsteps by gaining a new title once married too.
According to The Express, when Pippa marries her husband she’ll become Lady Glen Affric.
This is because Matthews is the son of David Matthews, the Laird of Glen Affric, who owns an historic castle 15 miles from Loch Ness in the Scottish highlands.

Matthews will inherit his father’s title upon his death, until which time Pippa will be able to use the courtesy title of Mrs Matthews of Glen Affric the younger, which will be bestowed upon her as the heir’s wife.
She’ll also gain access to a massive 10,000-acre Scottish estate.
Former mechanic David Matthews is thought to have acquired the hereditary title when be bought the magnificent Glen Affric estate in 2008.

Michael Reed, an Australian art historian, uncovered the connection, saying that the Matthews family “know how to play the royal game”.
And what’s a noble Scottish title without a noble Scottish tartan? The name does come with its own red and green tartan, which Mr Matthews can choose to wear at the wedding - so we could spy some kilts around on the big day.
