I don’t have to tell you that we here at Allrecipes love snacking. Just think about how many times we’ve written about our favorite Lay’s chips returning or mourned the loss of our beloved snack being discontinued.

That’s why when we find a new snack that we love, we’re going to shout it from the rooftops. And, this time, I’m shouting about a whole line of new snacks that I can’t get enough of: Planters Nut Duos.

Planters Launches Nut Duos

Planters quietly rolled out this new snacking innovation that combines different nuts with iconic flavor combos we're already obsessed with. The new line launched with three flavors—including a sweet, savory, and spicy mix.

The sweet Nut Duos are Cocoa Cashews with Espresso Hazelnuts. The savory mix is Peppercorn Pistachios with Parmesan Cashews. Lastly, the spicy snack is Buffalo Cashews and Ranch Almonds.

Each nut is roasted and coated with a generous amount of seasoning for a crunchy snack that’s a great mid-day pick-me-up no matter what flavor profile you’re craving.

If you’re a fan of Planters flavored cashews, like the Dill Pickle, Cinnamon Brown Sugar, or Rosemary & Sea Salt, then you’ll fall in love with the new Nut Duos. Think flavored cashews, but with an equally tasty partner in the flavored hazelnuts, almonds, and pistachios.

The Planters team tested more than 100 nut-and-flavor combos before narrowing it down, so you know these three have to be the best of the best.

Personally, I love the Buffalo Cashews and Ranch Almonds. They have a bit of heat with the cooling, creaminess of ranch. But the Cocoa Cashews with Espresso Hazelnuts make a fabulous sweet treat with the chocolatey coffee jolt. And the Peppercorn Pistachios with Parmesan Cashews are a nice cheesy, protein-packed snack.

Planters Nut Duos will begin rolling out to retailers nationwide soon where they'll be sold for about $4.79 per bag. Take it from me, you’ll want to buy a few bags on the first go because those five-ounce packages disappear pretty quickly.
