A Playboy model recently rode the New York City subway covered in dollar bills.

“Life gave me a lot; this time it’s my turn,” Victoria Xipolitakis captioned a Sept. 4 post on Instagram, which included the hashtags @MoneyParaTodos (MoneyForAll) and #Homeless. The model shared a series of photos featuring her on the subway wearing a dress/raincoat made out of dollar bills. And, from her caption and photos, it’s clear she was encouraging people to take the dollar bills off her.

In one of the photos, Xipolitakis is seen treating the platform like a runway, and in others, people are peeling dollar bills off of her outfit.

The blonde from Buenos Aires told the Daily Mirror, “As I was traveling a lot and it was a long time ago that I had volunteered, I told myself: ‘I have to do it in New York.'” So she took to the subway, because, she thought it was the “most poor part of the city.”

“I dressed up with a dress covered with banknotes so that people could grab what they needed.” She also shared videos embracing strangers who benefited from her stunt.

Some of Xipolitakis’s followers are expressing their admiration for her kind gesture. “What a good gesture Vicky! An example to follow!!!” one wrote. Another said, “always so kind. That’s why God gives you everything you have … I adore you.”

Others criticized her for donating in a country that is not her own. “Do it here in your country,” someone suggested. “Instead of distributing dollars in another country that does not belong to you, you should think of your Argentine patriots; there are provinces that are very much in need of your solidarity,” another critiqued.

Then there were the straight-up disbelievers, of course. “It was for the video … after you asked him to return the money,” someone commented.

Most of social media was just stunned.

Xipolitakis isn’t the first model to pull a stunt on the subway out of goodwill. In 2016, plus-size model Iskra Lawrence stripped on the subway to protest body shaming.

So, she’s in good company.
