This Popular At-Home Peel Is a Complete Facial in a Jar

Face masks have always been a part of my skincare routine, but peels have entered the chat in 2020.
With maskne, hyperpigmentation from said maskne, and dullness from barely seeing daylight while quarantining, I've started using potent, but gentle, at-home peels once a week as extra reinforcement for my major skin concerns.
My go-to at-home peels are formulated with chemical exfoliants like AHA, because when used properly, I get results without my sensitive-leaning combination skin looking like a freshly-picked tomato.

My skin is super delicate, like that lace bra that shredded when I put it in the washer, or the anthurium on my windowsill that got sunburned leaves. While the product does have "peel" in its name, it's more of an all-in-one facial. It contains vitamin C-rich huckleberry harvested on Butler's farm in Jackson Hole, eight naturally-derived acids, including citric, malic, tartaric, glycolic, azelaic, ferulic, lactic, and salicylic, plus bamboo powder and blueberry seeds to gently buff dead skin cells away. In just five minutes, it promises to leave skin more clear and glowy.

Upon receiving a sample in the mail, I tried it on clean skin before my nighttime skincare routine. The whipped texture and light pink color made me feel like I was spreading one of the sweet cream cheese options at my favorite neighborhood bagel place all over my face — and since I've gone dairy-free, I was into it.
I rinsed the peel off in the shower and emerged with the glowiest, smoothest skin I've had in awhile. My skin was less inflamed from the mask-induced breakout on my jawline and less dull, but still hydrated enough that my skin didn't need to be slathered with heavy-duty moisturizer ASAP.

After two more nights of using the peel, I noticed a significant improvement in my acne.
