Avoid mucus-forming foods like dairy products, peanut butter, and even soy. “Most colds or flus have some respiratory component to them, so if you’ve already got congestion and you’re taking in foods that are making the mucus thicker, that’s just more playground for bugs.”  

How to feel better when you’re getting over a cold

The common cold has a way of making you feel just plain awful: tired, headachy, congested, and generally wretched. Getting over one can sometimes seem to take forever.
