Sundance Film Festival 2016 is in full swing, and the anticipation is high — but in addition to the awards and red carpet photos, Sundance is a chance for actors, directors, and screenwriters to really shine. For actors who are looking for career pivots or first-time directors, premiering at Sundance is an honor — and a lot of pressure. This year, a few female directors, screenwriters and actors are leading the way at Sundance. Here are the women of the new films making their world debut this year.
