Everyone is replaceable in the eyes of Abby Lee Miller, and we mean everyone. That includes the brand new cast of dancers who were hand-picked over hundreds of hopefuls to star on the latest season of Dance Moms. As Abby revealed in her Lifetime special, The Return of Abby, she and choreographer Gianna Martello sorted through thousands of videos to decide which 20 lucky kids would get to dance in front of them. After which, only seven would ultimately be selected as part of the show. But as Abby reiterated on this week's episode, despite all their work to get there, none of the newbies are guaranteed a stay.

“I’ve been saying for weeks that nobody on this team is safe,” Abby firmly told the kids and their moms. “And I don't think you believe me. So, I’ve decided the only way to light a fire under your lazy butts is to say goodbye to one member of this team.”

Although Abby’s antics are nothing new, this season is different because most of the team is not local to the Pittsburgh area. Everyone except for Sarah Georgiana is from a state other than Pennsylvania, with hometowns ranging from New Jersey to Nevada. Being kicked off the team for these members likely means returning home, wherever that may be. It' not easy to get back.

“I feel like I have so much more to prove,” said New Jersey native Pressley Hosbach. "And I don't want to go home."

Adding more pressure to the group this week, Abby decided to let two of her students pick their duet partners. Lilly and Pressley were called out and given the chance to pick who they’d like to pair up with for this week's competition.

“Will you pick the right partner?” Abby asked the 10 and 12-year old girls. “This decision could either help you or ruin you."

Pressley picked first and selected Brady, the only boy of the group and the member who's currently causing the most drama among the moms for his seemingly preferential treatment from Abby.

Lilly then chose Hannah, because of her second place win for last week's solo.

A musical theater dance was crafted for Pressley and Brady called "Geek Gets the Girl," while Hannah and Lily were given a pretty lyrical number called "We're Breathing."

In the end, both dances placed, with Pressley and Brady getting first and Hannah and Lily getting second. But at what cost? For underdog Hannah, the dance proved she could keep up with veteran member Lilly. But as Abby said to Pressley after her dance, "I'm not so sure that picking Brady was the best choice for you. His level of difficulty is higher, and when you turn, it's clumsy."

In the end, while everyone is replaceable, no one left the ALDC on this week's episode. And as longtime fans of the show will know, winning doesn't guarantee anyone a spot on the team forever. Whoever leaves might in the coming weeks make room for Dance Moms vet Ellianna Walmsley to make her return, or give 8-year-old Kamryn Smith the chance to join a few dances. Or maybe, someone will leave before they've been kicked out.

We’ll be tuning in next Tuesday to find out.
