Prince Charles has offered a withering response after being asked if he takes his own toilet seat on overseas trips.

Earlier this week, it was reported that new royal biography Rebel Prince: The Power, Passion And Defiance Of Prince Charles will detail how the Prince travels with a rather particular set of items – including his own orthopaedic bed, personal toilet seat, Kleenex Premium Comfort toilet paper, and fresh linen.

Other outlandish revelations included the claim that Charles changed clothes five times every day with the help of two valets.

But when approached by a reporter from Hit105 while in Australia to open the Commonwealth Games, the Prince of Wales was quick to distance himself from the outlandish claims.

‘Hello Charles. Is it true that you carry your own toilet seat when you travel?’, asked Hit105 reporter Jase.

Oh, don’t believe all that crap. The very idea’, Charles curtly responded.

He then proceeded to ask the same question to Camilla, who responded ‘Don’t you believe that’.

As well as opening the Commonwealth Games, Charles and Camilla have also been visiting the beaches of Gold Coast and attending meetings with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the games, Prince Charles said: ‘My wife and I could not be more delighted to be able to join all of you here on the Gold Coast this evening – and the many millions of you who are watching from your homes across the Commonwealth.’
