How far they've come in a year!

In 2017, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made their first public appearance together as a couple at the Invictus Games, and, now, at this year's event, they're married and have a baby on the way.

After announcing that he and his wife are expecting their first child together while kicking off their Australian royal tour, Prince Harry couldn't help but reference Meghan's pregnancy during his speech at the Invictus Games' opening ceremony on Saturday.

“First of all, thank you for the welcome you have given Meghan and I over the last few days,” he said per People. “I have been so proud to be able to introduce my wife to you and we have been so happy to be able to celebrate the personal joy of our newest addition with you all.”

“Our Invictus family has turned these games into a symbol of strength, honor and optimism for a new generation,” the royal continued.

“We also genuinely couldn’t think of a better place to announce the, er, upcoming baby,” Harry said, looking over to Meghan, before adding: "Whether it’s a boy or a girl.”

During their time in Sydney, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been showered with gifts for the next royal baby, including a stuffed kangaroo and Ugg boots from the Governor General Peter Cosgrove and his wife.

"That's so cute, it's our first baby gift!" Meghan exclaimed to the official.

We're officially counting down the days until the baby's arrival in spring 2019.
