Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly bringing their children Archie and Lilibet ('Lili') to the UK to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee next month, but some details about their kids' activities at home in California has been revealed.

James Corden has shared that his and wife Julia Carey's kids had a play date with Archie, three and Lili, eleven months, at Prince Harry and Markle's Montecito home.

The Late Late Show with James Corden host made rare comments about The Duke and Duchess of Sussex after being asked whether he had been to the royal couple's 11 million mansion.

He told The Sun: 'I have. It was more a sort of play date scenario [with the kids]. Then we went out for dinner after, it was lovely.'

Corden added that he had 'a huge amount of respect and admiration for Harry', saying that he will 'always be in their corner'.

The Gavin & Stacey star and his wife of almost 10 years share three children together - Max, 11, Carey, seven, and Charlotte, four.

Archie and Lili's playdates with Corden's kids could come to an end, however, as the comedian is understood to have set his sights on moving to the UK with his family.

This is while he prepares to leave his acclaimed The Late Late Show next year, which he has fronted since 2015.

Prince Harry appeared on Corden's show last year, and the exchange aired ahead of his and Markle's explosive Oprah interview.

At the time, Prince Harry opened up about family life, revealing Archie first word - crocodile - and the gift that his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II sent his son - a waffle maker.

Asked about fatherhood, he told Corden: 'My son is now over a year and a half, he is hysterical, he's got the most amazing personality, he's already putting two, three words together, he's already singing songs. His first word was "crocodile", three syllables.'

He added: 'Interestingly, my grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas and Meg said a waffle maker, she sent us a waffle maker for Archie so breakfast now, Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix, in the waffle maker, flip it, out it comes, he loves it. Archie literally wakes up in the morning and says "waffle".'

When previously speaking to Ellen DeGeneres last November about Prince Harry and parenthood, amid the pandemic, Markle said: 'We've just been able to spend a lot of time at home.'

She added: 'We're just happy.'

The mum-of-two reflected on her husband being a father, saying: 'Harry being a dad was the most beautiful thing to watch.'

Referring to the difficult side of being a parent, she said: 'Everyone knows - especially if you've had a child and even if you haven't - you know how hard it is and how critical it is in those first few weeks, or even months, to be together as a family.

'And the fact that we don't offer that here is something that - now as a mum of two - I will do everything that I can to make sure that we implement that for people.

Markle and Prince Harry have since joined a coalition, via their Archewell foundation, to urge for childcare support for working mums.

In a statement released today, Markle said: 'Families everywhere, and especially working mums, are asked to shoulder so much.'

She continued: 'This has only been heightened by the pandemic, with increased caregiving responsibilities, rising prices, and economic uncertainty.

'As it's been said many times, it takes a village to raise a child. Today, we're sending a message that childcare isn't just a community imperative—it's a business imperative. Creating a stronger workforce starts with meeting the needs of families.'
