Prince Harry has no doubts about marrying his bride-to-be. According to a report from The Daily Mail, Prince Harry has declined the option to sign a prenuptial agreement with Meghan Markle before the royal wedding in May.

The site revealed that a source said of the Prince Harry, "There was never any question in Harry’s mind that he would sign a prenup. He’s determined that his marriage will be a lasting one, so there’s no need for him to sign anything."

The report shut down recent rumors that the royal family wanted Harry to protect his royal assets and inheritance. However, unlike in the United States, prenups are not very common in the U.K.

Sophia Money-Coutts, a British columnist, reported last week that there had been rumors of a prenup in the royal circle. "Both Harry and Meghan have assets to protect," she said. "Given divorce rates, it’s worth couples having a frank discussion about what each is bringing to the party before signing that marriage register."

Prince Harry has a fortune of nearly $14 million in inheritance from his mother, Princess Diana, in addition to estimated $28 million in other assets, according to The Daily Mail. Markle, on the other hand, is said to be worth $5 million from her acting career.

With that hefty chunk of cash, it makes sense that the royal family will be paying for the May nuptials. CNN estimated that Harry and Meghan's big day could cost north of £500,000 (or $670,000). "I can't imagine Harry and Meghan would be able to achieve the wedding they would be looking at on anything less than [that]," London-based luxury wedding planner Aimee Dunne told CNN. In their official wedding announcement, Kensington Palace announced, "As was the case with the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Royal Family will pay for the core aspects of the wedding, such as the church service, the associated music, flowers, decorations, and the reception afterwards."

It looks Prince Harry is in it for the long run with his soon-to-be princess.
