The Duchess of Sussex is quickly approaching her due date, but this weekend all eyes were on another baby in the royal family: Zara Tindall's 10-month-old daughter Lena Elizabeth.

The Queen's great-grandchild was christened in a private ceremony at St Nicholas Church in Cherington, Gloucestershire on Saturday, and Prince Harry was reportedly named godfather. Meghan was also there to celebrate the moment, and was spotted wearing a vintage Dior coat from William Vintage.

While the Queen, Princess Anne, and the Sussexes were all seen arriving at the ceremony, Prince Philip did not appear to be in attendance. Per the Daily Mail, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also appeared to be missing from the event.

But even with multiple members of the royal family present, an onlooker told the Daily Mail that the ceremony was "surprisingly low-key."

"There were between seven and ten police cars discreetly parked in a farmyard on the edge of the village, and we saw a few bobbies dotted around the village," said the source. "But considering the number of royals in attendance, it was a surprisingly low-key event."

The Reverend Dr. Gerald South, who reportedly performed the religious service told the Daily Mail that it was "lovely," declining to elaborate.

Most Americans are familiar with the role a godparent can play in a child's life, offering spiritual guidance and support. But per historian Marlene Koenig, a royal godparent can play a "different role-sometimes at a distance-sending a lovely present for their godchild’s birthday until adulthood-and a nice wedding present."

That certainly proves true in the case of India Hicks, who is Prince Charles's goddaughter. (Hicks's grandfather, Lord Mountbatten, was Prince Philip's uncle, and a mentor to Prince Charles.)

In the past, Hicks has shared anecdotes about her relationship with Prince Charles on her social media accounts. "Every birthday, every Christmas, a card and present would arrive from my Godfather," she wrote in the caption of an Instagram post.

"To begin with, they were signed: from ‘your loving Godfather Charles’, then they became ‘your old Godfather Charles’ and then ‘your ancient Godfather Charles.'"
