Prince Harry Reportedly "Wants to Give Archie the Childhood He Always Wanted"
For Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, there’s been a surprising silver lining to the otherwise catastrophic pandemic: both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been able to spend quality time with their 17-month-old son, Archie.
“In the absence of COVID, we would be traveling and working more,” Markle admitted in a conversation with Malala Yousafzai earlier this month. Harry elaborated, adding, “We were both there for [Archie’s] first steps. His first run, his first fall, his first everything.”
“They are both extremely attentive parents,” a source told People of the royal couple. “Harry wants to give Archie the childhood he always wanted.”
Harry and Meghan, who recently settled down in Santa Barbara’s Montecito neighborhood, are strong proponents of playtime. “They spend a ton of time outside,” the source continued. “Harry and Meghan love to play — all the private space is a dream for them.”

Normalcy and privacy are also certainly paramount for the couple as they raise their son. Archie, who is rarely seen now that the Sussexes have stepped down as senior members of the royal family, doesn’t have a title — though he will have the option to become a prince once he turns 18.
