The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are soon to become parents for the first time this spring.

Prince Harry, 34, has always had a great rapport with children and young people during royal engagements, so what kind of father will he be?

Speaking to the Yahoo UK‘s ‘The Royal Box,’ Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, thinks the duke will be protective over his family.

She says: “I think Harry will be supremely protective when he becomes a father, he’s pretty protective now.

“He’s very conscious of the media and Meghan and the upsets and the nastiness and he’s never liked the media anyway and you can’t blame him.”

Harry has had a difficult relationship with the media at times since his teenage years and even issued an unprecedented statement asking them to respect his and Meghan’s privacy when they began dating in 2016.

Roya Nikkhah, The Sunday Times royal correspondent, also thinks the father-to-be will want to protect his child from too much media scrutiny.

She says that the British media are “seriously respectful” of privacy rules and guidelines, adding that “you do not see paparazzi photographs of George, and Louis and Charlotte being used in any publications.”

Ms Nikkhah believes that privacy is one the key reasons for Harry and Meghan’s move to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, ahead of their baby’s birth in April.

She says: “They’re not going to be in the goldfish bowl of Kensington Palace, it will be much harder to photograph them.

“Harry does has a very high level of expectancy – any crossing of red lines with taking photos of his child or invading their privacy, he will come down like a ton of bricks on.”
