Cute news incoming: Princess Beatrice has given birth to her first child! The royal family announced the news on September 20, writing on Twitter "Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter on Saturday 18th September 2021, at 23.42, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London."

The royals also released a press release with more details, saying "The baby weighs 6 pounds and 2 ounces" and revealing that "The new baby’s grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are delighted with the news. The family would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well, and the couple are looking forward to introducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf."

As a reminder, Beatrice is also stepmother to her husband Edoardo’s son, Christopher, and recently opened up about the special role in the Evening Standard:

“This year, I had the great honor to become a stepmother and have had the most remarkable time going back over some of my most favorite stories at bedtime. I have dyslexia and as such reading has never been my strongest talent; however, having a little more time to take a moment to really get into stories has been a gift I am happy to have shared with lockdown life.”

No news on a name yet for Bea and Edo's daughter, but stay tuned! In the mean time, congratulations to these two!
