Princess Beatrice goes boho glam on night out with boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi
It’s the most wonderful time of the year – for new love and, of course, festive fashion! Princess Beatrice and her new boyfriend, property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, joined a star-studded guest list at New York City’s Berggruen Prize Gala on Monday evening (Dec. 10). Sarah Ferguson’s daughter looked every inch the cool young royal as she made her debut public appearance with her new beau clad in a bohemian ensemble.

The two were surely a stylish pair as they hung out with Beatrice's close friend Karlie Kloss by the Christmas tree at the New York Public Library, according to HELLO!, and sipped champagne while nibbling on canapes. Other attendees at the star-studded event included Rupert Murdoch's ex-wife, Wendi Deng.

The 30-year-old’s fashion sense was also the talk of the town. Veering away from her go-to silhouettes and penchant for colour, the princess donned an ultra-chic all-black bohemian look. Wearing a black maxi dress, boasting a billowing hem, she defined her waist with a black belt and topped it off with her favourite fringed jacket by Galvan, which she’s worn before. Princess Eugenie’s gorgeous sister wore her strawberry blond locks blown out by her shoulders and sported a simple, glowing makeup look.

If the princess looked to be extra radiant at the glitzy gala, perhaps her new relationship has her glowing! According to The Sun, Beatrice first met multi-millionaire Edoardo at an elegant party hosted by Indian billionaire Lakshmi Mittal Diwali in London in September. Since then, the two have enjoyed a series of dates, with a friend telling the publication: “Beatrice and Edo have the same circle of friends and were introduced through a mutual chum. They hit it of instantly and have a real laugh together. They’ve been on holiday together and Beatrice introduced him to Fergie and her dad. Things are moving very quickly and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if they got engaged within a short period of time.”
Though their first night out together is exciting, Sarah Ferguson’s eldest daughter was there for a greater cause. The annual event raises money for the Berggruen Institute, which was founded by philanthropist Nicolas Berggruen in 2010. The ultimate prize is worth $1 million and is given to prominent thinkers who have shaped human advancement and understanding. This year, it was awarded to American philosopher Martha C. Nussbaum, 71, who’s written 20 books and is the second woman in a row to take home the prize.
