Beatrice is the second member of the British royal family to attend the Met Gala — Princess Diana, previously attended the event in 1995.

Beatrice looked ethereal in a long sleeved silk-chiffon gown by Alberta Ferretti in purple, the colour of royalty – obviously. Paired with gold sandals and a jewelled headpiece to accent her famous red hair, Beatrice proved she’s a royal with some seriously high fashion style.

The 29-year-old daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, lives in New York City and works as the Vice President of Partnerships and Strategy for Afiniti, a software company, which also employs Thomas Inskip, the best friend of Beatrice’s cousin, Prince Harry.

Known professionally as Beatrice York, the princess is often spotted hanging around A-listers. Last month she travelled to Jordan for a vacation with Taylor Swift’s former BFF, model Karli Kloss, and singer Ellie Goulding. Also in tow for the trip was Misha Nonoo, the fashion designer who was rumoured to have introduced Prince Harry to Meghan Markle.

Later this month, Beatrice will be attending the May 19 royal wedding of Markle and Prince Harry, as well as the wedding of her sister, Princess Eugenie later this year in October.

If her Met Gala appearance is any indication, it seems like Princess Beatrice is going to be spending a lot more time in the spotlight.
