Despite the pandemic, it's been an exciting summer for Princess Beatrice. After having to cancel her wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in May, the couple decided to go ahead with an intimate, socially distanced ceremony in secret in July. And now, they've got the rest of their lives ahead of them.

The newlyweds are believed to have had a mini-moon in France, and were also recently spotted on Italy's Amalfi coast with Edo's son, Wolfie. But once all wedding celebrations are wrapped up, what's next for the couple?

Well, it seems there could be a house move on the cards. To none other than Meghan and Harry's old Kensington Palace home, according to those in the know at Hello! While nothing has been confirmed or announced yet, the royal experts say logic suggests Beatrice and Edo may well be offered Nottingham Cottage, where the Sussexes lived before relocating to Windsor.

Prince Harry was already living in Nottingham Cottage before meeting Meghan Markle. The two-bedroom property, is described as "very cosy" and "a sweet English house" in a newly-released biography of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Finding Freedom. Nothing "imposing" like you might imagine for royalty.

𝑁𝑜𝑡𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔ℎ𝑎𝑚 𝐶𝑜𝑡𝑡𝑎𝑔𝑒 ... About Nottingham Cottage: ☆Nottingham Cottage (nicknamed "Nott Cott") is a house in the grounds of Kensington Palace in London. As a grace-and-favour property, the house has been frequently occupied by members of the British royal family, as well as staff and employees.Nottingham Cottage has two bedrooms and two reception rooms, with a bathroom and small garden. It is 1,324 square feet (123.0 m2) in size. It stands near two other grace-and-favour houses, Kent Cottage and Wren Cottage. The house was designed by Christopher Wren. Its name derives from Nottingham House, the residence of the Earl of Nottingham from which Kensington Palace was expanded by William III and Mary II. Before Crawford, Nottingham Cottage had been home to Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, and his wife, Princess Alice. Later occupants included Sir Miles Hunt-Davis (the Private Secretary of the Duke of Edinburgh) and his wife Anita, Lady Hunt-Davis, and Robert Fellowes (who served as Private Secretary to Queen Elizabeth II) and his wife Lady Jane Fellowes (sister of Diana, Princess of Wales).Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, lived at Nottingham Cottage for two and a half years after leaving Anglesey, where Prince William had been stationed as a helicopter pilot. The couple lived there with the infant Prince George for a few months after his birth, before moving in October 2013 to Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace. The ceilings of the home are very low, and Prince William had to stoop to avoid hitting his head on them. Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, the younger brother of Prince William, moved into the house following his brother's departure. Harry proposed to Meghan Markle whilst roasting a chicken in the home. After their wedding in May 2018, the couple continued living at the house. In November 2018, it was announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would move from Nottingham Cottage to Frogmore Cottage (near Windsor) in spring 2019, before the birth of their first child. #nottinghamcottage

It might be "just like any regular home," but authors of Finding Freedom Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand do note that it's "a nice place by anyone's standards." So could it be Princess Beatrice and her new husband next abode?

Since Meghan and Harry departed the property in March 2019, it's believed to have been vacant. And it's situated very close to Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank's residence, Ivy Cottage, which is also located in the grounds of Kensington Palace. So it would make sense in that respect.

As well as the two bedrooms, Nottingham Cottage has a living room, a smaller dining room, and two bathrooms - worlds away from Prince William and Kate Middleton's large London residence that sits next door, Apartment 1A, boasting 22 rooms.

During lockdown, Beatrice and Edo split their time between her flat in St James' Palace, and Edoardo's luxurious family home in Chipping Norton, in the Cotswolds. With numerous living options available to them, moving might not be high up the agenda quite yet - but who wouldn't want the Cambridges as their next door neighbours?!
