Princess Eugenie Celebrates Princess Beatrice's Wedding on Instagram
Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi had initially planned a wedding this spring in London. It was to be held at St. James Palace, with a reception to follow at Buckingham Palace, hosted by Queen Elizabeth. In short, it would have been a Royal Wedding, with all the pomp and circumstance that goes with that.
But 2020 had other plans—and the couple canceled their May wedding when the coronavirus pandemic made large gatherings impossible for the foreseeable future. Instead, they got married Friday in All Saints Chapel at the Royal Lodge, on the grounds of Windsor Great Park, in an intimate celebration with just close family in attendance.
The ceremony was, of course, no less royal for its smaller size, since the Queen and Prince Philip were there. Also on the guest list were the couple's close family, including the groom's young son, Wolfie, who T&C learned played an important role in the ceremony.
And now, the bride's younger sister, Princess Eugenie, has shared a tribute to the celebration on Instagram.
"Couldn't Bea happier (get it) 🐝..." joked Eugenie in her post, which featured four photos of the bride and groom on their special day.
"What a complete joy and privilege to watch you, my beautiful big sister, walk down the aisle to dear Edo. I am so proud of you and I'm so excited to support you in the next chapter of your life. We are going to have so much fun together. Happy wedding day to you both xxxx"

The two York sisters are extremely close, and they share a deep bond with their mother, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, who did a reading at the wedding. "Mummy, Bea, and I call ourselves 'the Tripod'—they are my best friends in the world," Princess Eugenie said in a 2008 interview. Fergie has yet to post on social media about her daughter getting married, but it's only a matter of time, as she is a prolific user of both Twitter and Instagram.
Other members of the royal family have also marked Beatrice's special day with posts. Notably, Clarence House, which serves as a communications channel for Prince Charles and Camilla, shared a picture of the newlyweds with a congratulatory caption:

Will and Kate posted a photo on Instagram stories, and the official royal family account, which represents the Queen, Prince Philip, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and a number of other royals also shared Princess Beatrice's wedding portraits. As the Sussexes are not currently active on social media, Prince Harry did not publicly congratulate his cousin, but a source tells Town & Country that the couple did so privately.
