Princess Sofia of Sweden Has Gone Blonde for Spring — See the Royal's Makeover
Princess Sofia of Sweden is switching things up!
After rocking dark brunette locks, the royal mom of two has recently stepped out with a much lighter hair color. Sofia, 34, is experimenting with blonder-than-ever highlights, adding a springtime glow to her look.

The Swedish royal, who joined the royal family after her 2015 wedding to Prince Carl Philip, was still sporting a dark hair color in a stunning portrait released in December in honor of her 34th birthday.
In the solo shot by photographer Erika Gerdemark, Princess Sofia beams in a simple cream-colored top and black slacks, casually resting her hand on her knee. Sofia wears her layered hair straight and loose with a center part as she smiles for the camera while posing on what appears to be a windowsill.
“Today Princess Sofia fills 34 years. Happy Birthday!” read the caption on the Swedish royal family’s Instagram page.
Sofia has gone back and forth between her brunette hair and highlighted locks, seeming to prefer lighter colors in the warm weather months. In a family portrait released last summer, the royal’s hair is brightened by natural-looking caramel-colored pieces as she poses with Prince Alexander, 2, adorably sitting on her lap. Prince Gabriel, who inherited his mother’s blue eyes, looks straight at the camera while being held by his smiling father.
Princess Sofia, a former model and a reality TV contestant, stuck to a dark brunette color for her June 2015 wedding. She wore her hair in an elegant updo topped with a diamond and emerald tiara, a gift from the King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.
