Priyanka Chopra Is Bulgari's Latest Global Ambassador
There are few brand ambassadorships as prestigious as those for high jewelry. While access to exceptional gems is certainly a major perk, so are the bragging rights that come with joining a storied maison, one with a deep-rooted legacy defined by, among other things, some of history's most glamorous women. Priyanka Chopra Jonas will surely soon find this out, as she has just become Bulgari's latest global ambassador, joining an illustrious club that already counts the likes of Julianne Moore, Zendaya, and Rachel Weisz among its members. (Not to mention Elizabeth Taylor, obviously, who commands the top spot in Bulgari's High Jewelry Hall of Fame.)
The actress, who will next star in the fourth installment of The Matrix (out in December), will do more than just model diamonds—she will also bring to this post her humanitarian spirit, amplifying the Bulgari brand with projects that will focus on women empowerment, diversity, and inclusion. First on the agenda: Covid-19 relief efforts in India. Chopra Jonas partnered with the nonprofit Give India to fundraise for healthcare structures, medical equipment, and vaccine support in her home country. After raising $1 million in less than two weeks, they have increased the goal to $3 million—Bulgari has announced that it will also be making a donation to the cause.
“I have always admired and been fascinated by Bulgari’s magnificent works of arts, so many of which celebrate some of the most precious resources of my homeland," Chopra Jonas said in a statement. "From the rare colorful gemstones used in Bulgari’s timeless jewelry creations, to the scented flowers which become the main ingredients of its luxurious fragrances, we connect so organically over our love for India and the beauty it has to offer.”
