Psst, Dua Lipa's faux fur coat and lingerie look isn't what it seems...
Our favourite party szn dressing hack for when the mercury dips into negative degrees? Make your coat the outfit. Opting for a statement winter coat ensures you'll stay nice and toasty all night long and means you only have to really worry about one thing when planning your look. After all, if you're keeping it on all night, it doesn't matter what you're wearing underneath. Although we would recommend wearing something semi-decent just in case you start to overheat. *Cough* Dua Lipa, take note *cough*.
Dua took to Instagram to share a series of pics wearing a risqué 'fit consisting of an oversized, floor-sweeping chocolate brown faux fur coat that looked very, very snuggly. But, it was what she had on underneath the luxe outerwear that really caught our attention as Dua appeared to wear nothing but her underwear. Or actually, make that lingerie.
Far from the washed-out nude comfortable bra we wear day in and day out with whatever pants are on the top of the pile, the pop superstar donned a black lacy bra with matching knickers. She then layered a coordinating garter skirt belt over the top, the sheer design edged in black sparkly trim. Sheer stockings that featured black lace embroidery completed her attire, with black pumps worn on her feet.
But, it turns out all is not as it seems. Rather than lingerie, Dua's look was actually a dress with the bra sewn onto a nude high-neck sleeveless bodysuit. The neckline seam can just be glimpsed in some of Dua's snaps, with the fabric visibly creasing across her torso in another photo.
The outfit was pulled directly from Balenciaga's spring summer 2025 collection with Dua replicating the exact ensemble worn by the model on the runway. It was a common theme throughout the show with multiple models donning illusion lingerie and lace bodysuit designs in white, nude and black. It takes the trend of underwear-as-outerwear to new extremes.
Of course, Dua is ahead of the trends!
