In the bronze medal match that took place on August 1 (Sunday) at the Tokyo Games, Sindhu created history as she defeated He Bingjiao of China to become the first Indian woman to win two individual Olympic medals. This also makes it her consecutive win after she bagged a silver medal at the 2016 Rio Games.
