RCMP arrest robbery suspect
On November 10, at around 4:39 p.m., Fort St. John RCMP say they received a report of a robbery at a business near 86th St. and 93rd Ave.
Frontline officers and an RCMP canine unit attended and found that a single Caucasian male suspect had approached staff with a firearm and demanded cash. The suspect received a small amount of cash before leaving the scene.RCMP were unable to locate the suspect but video surveillance was obtained.
On November 12, at around 8:24 p.m., Fort St. John RCMP received an unrelated report about a man matching the description of the robbery suspect. The man had multiple warrants.
Fort St. John RCMP attended the man’s residence and arrested him on the outstanding warrants. The officers determined the man matched the description of the robbery suspect and also arrested him for robbery.
Charges for robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent, and multiple other firearm-related charges have been recommended.
