Meghan Markle is always keen to support her friends in fashion by wearing their designs during her royal engagements. But there is one item you won’t see the Duchess of Sussex rocking anytime soon — a Victoria Beckham dress.
While the Beckhams are good friends of the royal family — and even attended Harry and Meghan’s wedding in May — it turns out VB’s dresses aren’t such a perfect fit for the 37-year-old royal.
In a recently unearthed interview, the former Suits star explains why she would never wear a VB dress.
Speaking to Glamour UK back in 2017, Meghan explains: “Now what I’m starting to learn is, even though things look amazing on the hanger, it doesn’t mean they’re going to look amazing on me.
“For example, I love Victoria Beckham dresses, but I don’t have the long torso to support that silhouette.”
Though Meghan doesn’t think she can pull off a Victoria Beckham dress, she has been able to show her love for the brand during her time with Harry. The mom-to-be wore a white cashmere sweater by VB in one of her engagement photos with Prince Harry.
Something tells us Victoria was pretty happy with that!
Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle have chosen to release this official portrait photograph to mark their engagement. The photograph was taken by photographer @alexilubomirski earlier this week at Frogmore House, Windsor.
