Reese Witherspoon and Daughter Ava Match in Floral Minis
As if we needed more reason to believe Ava Phillippe is a Reese Witherspoon mini-me, the mother-daughter duo went out in matching floral minidresses on Sunday.
To a Beverly Hills party, the Big Little Lies beauty wore a light blue dress with yellow, black, white, and navy floral patterns. The $195 dress from Witherspoon’s own Draper James collection featured a sporty yellow and black belt and short sleeves cuffed by black bands. The skirt stopped right above her knee. She brought out the yellow in the frock with matching pumps and purse.
Her 17-year-old daughter, Ava, clearly isn’t embarrassed by her mom’s style, as many teenagers are. In fact, she seemed inspired by it. Ava took cues from her mom, wearing a similar blue floral dress. However, she distinguished herself from Reese with pink flowers and a shorter skirt, making the look more youthful and feminine. While Ava’s dress was also short-sleeved, it had a higher neck. Like her mom, she matched her accessories: nude heels and bag.
Both mother and daughter sported sunglasses and wore their long blond waves loose and natural.
It’s common knowledge that Ava is the spitting image of her mom, but apparently the mother-daughter duo don’t agree. On an episode of Ellen, Witherspoon admitted that “everybody keeps saying” she greatly resembles her oldest child, whose father is Ryan Phillippe. “She and I are always like, ‘We don’t see it!'” she exclaimed. But considering we’ve confused Ava with Witherspoon’s long-lost twin on countless occasions, we’re sticking to our stance.
