Reese Witherspoon celebrates Ava Phillippe's 23rd birthday: 'My favorite daughter'
Reese Witherspoon is celebrating her lookalike daughter’s 23rd birthday on social media.
The Big Little Lies star, 46, took to Twitter on Friday to share a photo of Ava Phillippe, the daughter she shares with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe. In the caption of the pic, which features the content creator enjoying a purple cocktail at lunch, Witherspoon wrote, “Happy Birthday to my wonderful, infinitely creative, deeply caring , hysterically funny daughter. Ava , you light up my life !”
Witherspoon also posed alongside Phillippe in a photo on Instagram, in which the twinning pair appeared in front of an ocean sunset.
“Happy Birthday to my favorite daughter, Ava,” she began her caption. “Every day that I get to watch you become the most amazing woman is such a gift. Your gigantic heart, generous spirit, and endless creativity inspire me every day. I love you so much.”
Phillippe responded to her mom’s sweet words in the comments section, writing, “I know I’m biased but…you really do ‘mom love’ like no one else can. thank you for celebrating me as I am since day one.”

She added in a follow up comment, “lso, I know I technically have to be your favorite daughter considering there’s no competition…but I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of hearing it!”
Witherspoon has long celebrated her children, which also includes 18-year-old Deacon Phillippe, who recently made his acting debut on Mindy Kaling’s series Never Have I Ever, and Tennessee James Toth, 9, whom she shares with her current husband Jim Toth.
In 2019, she told InStyle, “My mothering personality is nothing like my work personality. I melt around my kids. I’m much more squishy, soft, and lovey with a caramel center."
In March, Phillippe celebrated her mom in her own Instagram post honoring the Legally Blonde star’s 46th birthday. She wrote, “With every year, her bright light shines even brighter, and I find even more reasons to love her and a greater appreciation for all that she does. Happy happy birthday to the brilliant, joyful, fiery, thoughtful, and gorgeous woman that I am lucky enough to call my mom.”
