Regina King Wows in a Baby Blue Butterfly Gown at the Oscars 2021

Regina King brought her regal style to the ultimate level for the Oscars tonight.

The “Watchmen” actress took to the red carpet in standout fashion this evening thanks to a custom Louis Vuitton gown. The sky blue number pulled similarities from that of butterfly wings across the structured shoulders, all coated in glittering embellishments and stitched pearls.

Earlier this month, King brought the glamour to the 2021 Costume Designer Guild Awards.

The actress, who presented during the ceremony, tapped Christopher John Rogers for the event in an unmissable neon number. A favorite of Kamala Harris, Ashley Graham and Zendaya, Rogers’ designs always have a flair for the bold and King’s look was no exception; the strapless number featured a form-fitting tangerine fabric with a coordinating floor-sweeping caped train.

The ensemble also featured endless layers of diamonds and jewels from Bulgari along with hidden Stuart Weitzman heels.

The 93rd Academy Awards kicks off in Los Angeles on Sunday with a slightly new look. Health and safety restrictions — and testing — will be in place for the intimate, in-person event with two locations: Union Station and its usual venue, the Dolby Theatre. David Fincher’s “Mank” is the most nominated film with 10 total nods, followed by “The Father,” “Judas and the Black Messiah,” “Minari,” “Nomadland,” “Sound of Metal,” “The Trial of the Chicago 7” and “Promising Young Woman.” Other nominees include Chadwick Boseman, Andra Day, Carrie Mulligan, Leslie Odom Jr., Viola Davis.

As for Regina King, the “One Night in Miami” actress is a master of award show season styling. This year alone, she has modeled everything from Versace gowns to custom Oscar de la Renta designs, all matched to towering Stuart Weitzman sandals.
