Renée Zellweger Rents Waterfront Laguna Beach Home

·1 min read

Just a few months after selling her San Fernando Valley home for $6.4 million (a full $400,000 above asking price), word has surfaced that Renée Zellweger is renting a home in Laguna Beach via Dirt. The two story beachfront home is a major change from the Oscar-winner’s remote Hacienda style home that was nestled tightly in Topanga Canyon, quite far from the beach.

The Judy star’s new sprawling 4,100 square-foot main house contains three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and one half bathroom, plus tons of space for entertaining. The large living and dining room space features a large fireplace, wood wet bar, and peg-and-groove hardwood floors that lend the space a charmingly aged feeling. The additional living space is best for indoor outdoor entertaining, thanks to its french doors that offer quick access to the pool. This space has its own bar and fireplace, too, though its bar is pub-themed with tartan tiles and exposed wood beams.

Along with the main home, a 750 square foot guest house with two bedrooms and a bathroom is located on the property. There’s direct access to the beach via a winding wooden staircase and for a more intimate swimming experience, the kidney shaped pool is surrounded by dense gardens. Views of the beach can be enjoyed from the yard’s gazebo or from the spacious upstairs deck. While Zellweger’s monthly rent is unconfirmed, Dirt reports it to be roughly $25,000. The outlet also reports that in 2020 the Bridget Jones's Baby actress purchased an Austin, Texas lakefront home in an off-market deal that has been under wraps until now.
