TCU starting quarterback Kenny Hill won’t play against Texas Tech on Saturday.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Hill is one of three TCU players who aren’t traveling to Lubbock along with safety Niko Small and kicker Jonathan Song.

Earlier this week, TCU coach Gary Patterson said Hill was questionable to play on Saturday and the Star-Telegram report notes that no injury was apparent after Saturday’s game vs. Oklahoma. Hill spoke to the media, a practice injured players typically do not take part in.

Quarterback Shawn Robinson will be TCU’s starter in Hill’s absence. Robinson is 7-10 passing for 99 yards and two touchdowns this season.

Hill, a transfer from Texas A&M, has been playing well in 2017. He’s 189-287 passing for 2,279 yards and 16 touchdowns and five interceptions.

His absence means TCU will be without its starting quarterback and most productive running back against Texas Tech. Darius Anderson, who has rushed for 768 yards in 2017, suffered a right foot injury against Oklahoma and is out for the rest of the season.
