A meticulously curated medicine cabinet full of skincare products has become a status symbol on social media, but Rihanna isn't here for an overstocked top shelf. Instead, she's launching Fenty Skin with three hero products every skin type can use in their daily skincare routine.

After a year of rumors and a handful of sneak peeks, Bad Gal RiRi has finally revealed Fenty Skin's first products on Instagram. The Total Cleans'r Remove-It-All Cleanser, Fat Water Pore-Refining serum, and Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 all drop on July 31.

Fenty Skin's approach to products is both practical and innovative, combining traditional skincare categories together to create three core multitasking products that are not only quick and easy to use, yet formulated with tried-and-true ingredients.

But don't get it twisted, this concept isn't anything new. Skincare was part of Rihanna's idea for her beauty empire when she started working on Fenty Beauty in 2015.

"She talked about this idea of, in order to have have great makeup, you have to have great skin," Erin O’Neill, SVP of Fenty Skin told a group of beauty editors over a Zoom call to introduce the products. "She said always felt really intimidated and overwhelmed by skincare."

“Fenty Skin is everything I wish I had back then,” Rihanna said in a statement. “I wanted it to feel approachable, easy, and to take the pressure off choosing a routine, so I created one for everyone.”

In order to make Fenty Skin relatable to a lot of people — especially her young fans — she wanted to create products that were straightforward, effective, and would eliminate the need for an excessively extensive routine.

As for the formulas, Rihanna was inspired by idea of using global ingredients that are staples in their respective cultures. Take the Barbados cherry, for example, which can be found in all three products. RiRi was particularly familiar with the vitamin C-rich ingredient because Barbadians drink it for its health benefits. All the products contain fragrance, one thing to keep in mind if you have an allergy or sensitive or acne-prone skin.

Even her loyal #RihannaNavy isn't immune.

Rihanna's expansion into skincare comes three years after she set the benchmark for inclusivity in the beauty industry when she launched Fenty Beauty with 40 shades of foundation in 2017. And much like its cosmetics counterpart, Fenty Skin has also been made with everyone in mind. From the brand's gender neutral "lavender slate" packaging to its first campaign video, a pool party staring A$AP Rocky and Lil Nas X, among a number of models with ridiculously glowy skin.

Total Cleans'r Remove-It-All Cleanser ($25)

Intended to replace a traditional double cleanse, this makeup-removing cleanser produces a milky lather as you massage it onto damp skin. Thanks to a healthy mix of antioxidant and hydrating ingredients like green tea, fig, and quince, it leaves skin soft, radiant, and clean, but definitely not stripped like other lathering formulas. The Barbados cherry and coconut-derived cleansers give the face wash a subtle tropical scent.

Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum ($28)

The second step in a Rihanna-approved skincare routine is also her favorite Fenty Skin product. Instead of using a cotton round, this toner-serum hybrid is meant to be patted onto your face with your hands. Along with traditional toner benefits of oil control and pore refinement, Fat Water also includes brightening niacinamide and Barbados cherry to reduce dark spots and even out skin tone. Anyone who hates waiting for their skincare products to absorb before moving onto the next step in their routine will appreciate that the toner quickly absorbs into skin without leaving any sticky residue.

Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ($35; refill $30)

During the Zoom introduction to the products, O’Neill said that like many Black people, Rihanna grew up believing that she didn't need to wear sunscreen. So, it was a priority for RiRi to launch Fenty Skin with a hydrating, non-greasy sunscreen that doesn't leave a chalky white cast on all skin tones or flashback in photos.

The chemical SPF 30 is free of coral reef-damaging oxybenzone and octinoxate and includes soothing, nourishing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, aloe, and superfruit baobab, so it can double as a moisturizer. While the SPF truly does go on clear and gives skin a healthy allover radiant glow, the Barbados cherry scent is a lot stronger than with the other two products.

It's also worth noting the sunscreen's sustainable packaging and clean formulations. Each product is cruelty-free and the brand does take strides to cut down environmental waste where it can. Hydra Vizor comes in a refillable holster, while the Total Cleans'r and Fat Water don't come in boxes and are made with recyclable materials depending on local guidelines.

Fenty Skin launches July 31 at fentyskin.com, sephora.com, and Sephora store locations.
