Rita Ora’s cover of Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill has been slated on social media, with fans calling it “painful”.
The track was first a hit in 1985 and has become massive again thanks to it being used in Netflix hit Stranger Things.
Hot Right Now singer Ora covered it at the Rock In Rio MultiShow festival in Brazil – but it fell seriously flat.

Several people took to Twitter to share their thoughts on her performance.
One tweeted: “Rita Ora no! Nails on a chalk board.”
“Can we all just agree to keep @RitaOra well away from any songs circa 1970-1989?” joked another.
One person called it “truly horrific”.
“Like Rita Ora but this is cringe indeed,” said someone else.
Another called it “painful” while one person said it was a “travesty”.
“This is awful!! Simply awful,” commented another unimpressed fan.
One teased: “I am not a psychic but I am absolutely 100% sure Kate Bush absolutely HATES what @RitaOra did to this song. It's nothing short of murder.”
However, there were some who thought that Ora, 31, did OK.
One tweeted: “I don’t think this is great but it’s not awful and it’s punching down to make fun of Rita Ora.”
“You gotta admit Rita Ora’s voice itself is not that bad,” said another.
Bush's track climbed back to the top of the charts after being featured in Stranger Things and the singer admitted on Woman's Hour that it was "just extraordinary".

"I mean it’s such a great series, I thought that the track would get some attention," she said.
“But I just never imagined that it would be anything like this. It’s so exciting. But it’s quite shocking really, isn’t it? I mean, the whole world’s gone mad.”
