Roaches, mice observed in Fort Worth health inspections. One restaurant remains closed
A restaurant remains closed due to serious health violations including roaches, and another restaurant received a high demerit score in the latest Fort Worth health inspections.
There were 56 inspections from March 12-18.
Ohana Hawaiian BBQ & Poke Bar at 6328 Camp Bowie Blvd. was closed during its regular inspection and its follow-up inspection for live roaches. An accumulation of roaches was observed in the restaurant and under and around the grill, fryer, and hand-washing sink in the food preparation area, according to a city report.
Yummy Buffet at 215 Northeast 28th St. received 36 demerits. Restrooms were not being maintained, according to inspection data.
In Fort Worth inspections, a score of zero is perfect. Restaurants receiving more than 30 demerits are required to fix the worst problems immediately and clean up the rest within 48 hours.

Hoya Korean Kitchen at 355 W. 3rd St., 26
A small mouse was observed in the kitchen at Los Vaqueros at 2629 N. Main St.
One cockroach was observed at Dona Carmen Pupuseria at 2721 Ellis Ave.
Out-of-date canned goods were observed at Big Apple Cafe. Dented canned goods and cucumbers with organic growth were also observed, according to the report.
There were no follow-up inspections.
