ICYMI, yesterday Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank announced that they’re expecting their second child in an adorable Instagram post. The photo showed the couple’s first son, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, kissing and cuddling his mum's baby bump. Adorable!

"We're so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer,” the caption read. There’s no news as to the gender of the baby, but we do know their birth will mean a slight shift in the order of who’s in line to the British throne.

Eugenie and Jack's new arrival will become 13th in line to the throne, just one place behind August, and so a few members of the Royal Family will automatically move down the line of succession.

After the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, Charles III became King – his Coronation will take place on Saturday 6 May this year. That means Prince William is now heir to the throne, followed by his and the Princess of Wales' three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, in that order.

Prince Harry is fifth in line after his brother’s children, and Harry’s two children with wife Meghan Markle follow behind him: Archie Harrison is sixth and Lilibet Diana is seventh.

Eighth in line is Eugenie’s father, Prince Andrew, followed by her sister Princess Beatrice, and niece, Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi. Eugenie is 11th in line to the throne, which means her first son August is 12th in line. This is where things change a little.

Princess Eugenie's second child will take her uncle the Earl of Wessex’s place at 13th in line, bumping Prince Edward down to 14th in the line of succession. FYI: Princess Eugenie's second child will not only be 13th in line to the throne, but will be the 13th great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. Just a lucky number perhaps?

Going from 14th to 15th in line is Prince Edward's son, James, Viscount Severn, and despite being older, Edward’s daughter Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor will take 16th place.

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip’s only daughter, Princess Anne, will fall 17th in line, followed by her son Peter Phillips (18th) and his two daughters, Savannah Phillips (19th) and Isla Phillips (20th).

Zara Tindall will bump down to 21st in the line of succession, followed by her three children, Mia Tindall (22nd), Lena Tindall (23rd) and Lucas Tindall (24th).

Congrats once again to Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank!!
