The Rush: Ka*pernick is a dirty word… according to Madden 2019

The NFL is officially back!  And by “back,” we mean games and controversy, as usual.

Pro football dominated the news on Thursday, even before the Hall of Fame game between the Ravens and Bears kicked off, thanks to Madden 2019.  The video game censored Colin Kaepernick’s name, which appeared in a lyric from a song by YG featuring Big Sean. WTF is that about? Needless to say, nobody involved with the song was pleased, including YG, who voiced his displeasure on Colin’s Instagram page.

All of this Kaepernick debate served as a solid lead in to the Chicago vs Baltimore game, which showcased backup QBs while the starters rode the pine. Neither Robert Griffin III nor Lamar Jackson shined for the Ravens, yet Baltimore still managed to pull off a 17-16 win after the Bears failed to complete what would’ve been a game-winning two-point conversion.  If you missed the game, don’t fret because it wasn’t nearly as interesting as the final score would indicate.

What you shouldn’t miss is the craziest double dutch you’ll ever see in your life.  Watch the video to see the sport at a competitive level that will blow your mind.

If you can’t jump rope like a super star, don’t worry about that.  Not everyone can be the best, according to LeBron James.  The NBA star gave a pep talk on the importance of role players in team sports, enticing The Rush’s own Jared Quay to challenge the King, face-to-face.
